Old Business:
Meeting Programs:
Keith Mountain agreed to present a program for the Nov. Pizza meeting.
Rich and Ginger Davidson of the Lee Bottom Flying Field are tentatively scheduled for the March Fish Dinner meeting. Gary will secure a fall-back program in case there is a last minute cancellation.
The Aero Club meeting room will be undergoing renovation in late March and April. Howard and Jim will look for an alternative meeting room for the April meeting.
New Business:
Howard Edwards moved that the Chapter donate $200.00 to the Aero Club in support of the meeting room renovation. After some discussion, including another suggestion that the amount be $500.00, the membership approved the $200.00 donation.
Howard suggested and moved that the Chapter partner with the Bowman Eagles to provide an easel to the Aero Club to be available for meeting presentations. Our cost is estimated to be $53.00. After discussion, it was decided to put this decision on hold until we better understand the details of the renovation.
Jim Nolan suggested that the Chapter donate $200.00 to the Lee Bottom Flying Field. After discussion considering that we have other suggestions to resolve, including the possible purchase of a Chapter trailer, the suggestion was withdrawn until a later date.
Chapter Trailer: A question was asked if the trailer would have to be licensed, and if our Chapter insurance would cover the operation of a trailer. Berry will follow up on the license question, and Tom will follow up on the insurance question.
An AVIATION Related Topic: EJ Schickli is looking for a spool of 0.040 safety wire for the turnbuckles on his Neuport project, and is willing to trade two 0.032 spools for it.
Howard will look into the requirements of placing an ad in the UPS newspaper.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10PM.
The program following the meeting was to feature a presentation by
Charlie Gokey on his Primary Glider model, but bad weather did not allow Charlie to make it.
