President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:33PM.
Treasurer Berry Bannon reminded the members that dues for 2005 are now due. Income over the past month was $115; savings
included two $500 CDs, and a balance of $2069.32; checking balance was $503.11; petty cash totaled $30.00. The report was
approved.
Roster – Roster Keeper Tom Hubbuch reported that individualized roster information sheets will be attached to the April newsletter, and
that members should try to correct the info. and return the sheets to him in a timely manner. This info. and any from new members after
the membership drive will be used to produce a new roster list.
Membership – Howard Edwards presented an update of the membership drive efforts. He conveyed how the Chapter tries to be of
value to members of many interests. He suggested that the Chapter could build its ranks to result in perhaps 100 members attending
monthly meetings.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:02PM.
The program following the meeting was “Early Clark County Indiana Aviation” by Charles Arrington.
He announced that the meeting agenda would be modified to reduce the business topics and to focus more on the more enjoyable topics.
He also explained that this meeting historically would be the Fish Dinner Meeting, but was not held due to efforts to reduce expenses in
support of the membership drive. He still plans to hold the Nov. Pizza Dinner.
Gary said he is still pursuing efforts to save money by e-mailing the newsletter.
Secretary Tom Hubbuch read the minutes from the February meeting, which were approved.
Greeting Chairman Tom Mitchell reported 22 members and 1 guest were present.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Web Page – Gary Graham reported that he now has full access to the Web Page, and Alan Fox has been generous with his advice and
help. Changes have been made to the pictures page, and Gary asked for add’l. pictures from Chapter members of their aircraft,
projects or activities. Bruce Edsten will send him pictures from the 2004 Willow Island Picnic.
The raffle prize is a Waco biplane ride, donated by Steve Koch and Kurt Rausch. Tickets are $5.00/ea. or three for $10.00, and are
available to members to sell. The winner will be drawn at the May 11 meeting. This meeting will start with a social hour at 6:30 PM with
free refreshments. In addition to the drawing, he plans a pictorial review of Sun-N-Fun, with pictures by Bruce Edsten and others, or a
presentation of the early days of the North American Aviation Company.
Howard plans to mail the newsletter, including an invitation to the May 11 social hour and meeting, to 150 National members in the area,
and hand deliver about 200 issues to the T hangars.
Commentating on the continuing improvements of the Web Page, Howard made a suggestion that each member strive to look at the Web
Page twice each week, and proposed that an inducement to do so would be a simple puzzle that visiting members would answer to be
eligible for a small prize at the next meeting.
Friends of Bowman – Jim Nolan reported that the open meeting with the RAA was held, with about 15 persons attending. Nothing new
developed, but opening the grass strip is still being considered.

Minutes of Newsletter Coordination Meeting
Gary Graham, Howard Edwards, Tom Hubbuch and Bruce Edsten met after the regular meeting to discuss details to coordinate the
issuing of the April Chapter newsletter. A summary of the various actions follow:
- Gary will modify the Chapter Membership Application by adding an "office use only" section and instructions to return the completed
applications and dues to Berry Bannon. He will send the updated document to Howard, Bruce and Tom.
- Tom will produce individualized roster information sheets from the existing database for each current member.
- Howard will resend the May 11 Invitation document to Bruce.
- Bruce will produce the newsletter. He will include a copy of the special invitation to the May 11 meeting. In addition, Tom Hubbuch will
coordinate with Bruce to assist with attaching the roster info. sheets, addressing, and stamping the copies to be mailed to the existing
members mailing list.
- Howard will print (or coordinate with Bruce to print) an additional 350 copies of the newsletter with the modified membership application.
He will then mail a copy to 150 National members (using pre-printed labels), and hand deliver 200 copies to residents of the T hangars
at Bowman.
