CHAPTER 110
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
May 9, 2007

President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:22PM.

All officers were present.

Secretary Tom Hubbuch read the minutes from the April 2007 meeting, which were approved.

Treasurer Berry Bannon reported $2125.86 in savings, $898.45 in checking, #30.00 petty cash and two $500.00 CDs. He said about half the members are behind in paying their dues for this year. His report was accepted.

Greeting Chairman Don Tucker reported 23 members and two guests in attendance.

Committee Reports:

Young Eagles - Bob Allen reported that a date has not been set for the next event.

Rough River Fly-in - Berry reported that several door prizes have been acquired and a banquet speaker is needed. Tom Hubbuch is working on the insurance. The fly-in is scheduled for Sept. 7, 8 & 9.

Web Page & E-mail - No Report

Bowman Eagles - Steve Koch said the Club has room for some more members.

Newsletter - No Report

Spring Picnic - Gary Graham has contacted the Freeman Field Museum and Tim O’Connor, and both will be open and available for visits. The airport manager has welcomed us and will make a pilot lounge and facilities available to us. The date was confirmed for June 10. Gary will issue several e-mail reminders, and Bruce Edsten will send postcards.

Ford Trimotor- Coordinator Jim Lasch had a sign-up sheet for helpers. Flight tickets will be $50.00 for non-EAA, and $40.00 for EAA members. Pre-selling of tickets was discussed and Jim will investigate. A sponsor donating over $1000 gets all nine available seats for his guests. Jim suggested purchasing orange T-shirts for the volunteers. After some discussion, Jim agreed to look into the options and report at the next meeting.

Old Business:

There was no old business.

New Business:

New Airport - It was reported that a new airpark development has been started by Jack Bennett and will have access to the Willow Island strips.

Technical Counselor Charlie Gokey reviewed the 10 most common problems that are found during final homebuilt inspections, and reported that the EAA has a kit available at low cost that includes all required forms, stickers and placards.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:57 PM.

Joy Jeffries presented the program following the meeting. She showed a sampling of photos taken by her and Don of the Sun-N-Fun Fly-in and the Pensacola Naval Air Museum. Yellow aircraft seemed to be featured.
