President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:33PM.
Vice-president Joy Jeffries was present.
Gary welcomed the visitors to the meeting and thanked all for attending our pre-meeting social hour.
Secretary Tom Hubbuch read the minutes from last month. The minutes were accepted after one correction was made the JROTC
from Henry County, not the Explorer Scouts, will be hosted at the Young Eagles day on May 14.
Treasurer Berry Bannon reported:
Savings: Two $500 CDs and $2070.67 deposited

Tom Mitchell reported 26 members and six guests in attendance. The guests were John Casper, Larry Schindler, John Burke,
Lloyd Fellows Jr., Dennis Madden and Charles Ray.
Committee Reports:
Young Eagles - Chairman Jim Lasch reminded the membership that on Sat., May 14, 9 AM, a YE day would be held, with just under 50
young persons and five or six aircraft expected.
Rough River Berry Bannon stated that the fly-in is on, scheduled for Sept. 9 - 11, that the insurance papers have been submitted to EAA
Headquarters, and that an entry will be made to the EAA Calendar of Events. A flyer is being developed. He has purchased and
received a badge machine, and is looking for a speaker (who will work for food). Berry explained some of the background and activities
of the fly-in for the sake of the new members and visitors.

Roster - Tom Hubbuch reported that he has received about 15 returned/updated information sheets of the 65 sent out. The new roster is
targeted to be sent with the newsletter mailing, perhaps in August.

Bowman Eagles Howard Edwards reported that the taildragger flying club has purchased a 4-place Stinson. The club may then increase its membership limit to 75.
Picnic Tom Hubbuch confirmed that the June 12 Drive-in/Fly-in Picnic would be held at Willow Island.
Friends of Bowman No report.
Activities Jim Nolan highly recommended the Sinful Sundays held at Lees Bottom Airport on the 2nd Sunday each month. About 50
aircraft attended the most recent one.
Old Business:
George Willenbrock made copies of an Airport Signage DVD and one of the new Sport Pilot regulations to be loaned to Chapter Members.
New Business:
Don Jeffries explained some background of the Aero Club, which is for pilots and interested associates. The Club is the oldest
operating Aero Club in the country and supports aviation activities in the area by making its meeting rooms available, sponsoring
breakfasts, parties and dinners. Normally a membership costs $85. A special rate of $25 is available to new members for the remainder
of the year.
Membership Drive Grand Prize:
The Waco flight donated by Steve Koch and Kurt Rausch was won by Chapter member Jim Mulloy.
Door Prizes:
The bottle of homemade wine from Dave Derrick was won by Jim Woodward.
The tool bag, from an unknown donor, was won by Bruce Edsten.
The tool box, donor unknown, was won by Berry Bannon.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM.
The program following the meeting was a slide show of photos and stories of last months Sun-N-Fun by Bruce Edsten. The quality of
these photos makes it clear that Bruce has mastered his new camera.
