EAA CHAPTER 110
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
September 8, 2004

7:35 President, Tom Hubbuch, called the meeting to order.
Vice President, Gary Graham, was present
7:41 Secretary, Joy Jeffries read the minutes from the August meeting. They were accepted as read.
7:36 Treasurer, Berry Bannon, gave the treasurer's report. It was accepted as read.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Hospitality - Tom Mitchell reported 26 members attending.
Young Eagles - The next event will not be held midweek as previously planned due to conflicts with school and work schedules.
Rough River - Berry Bannon reports that plans are going full speed ahead.
Webpage - Charlie Gokey reports that site is up to date.
Bowman Eagles - can now have up to 50 members.
Picnic - Tom Hubbuch announced that the picnic would be held @ the Willow Island Airport on Sunday, October 3, at 1:00pm. All facilities we need are available. Howard Edwards suggested bringing chapter member applications and agreed to design them and bring them. Members should bring tables, chairs and a side dish.
Friends of Bowman - group now has a Board of Directors. The mission is to promote Bowman Field and to work to develop a cohesive relationship between tenants, users and the RAA. Skip Miller, chairman of the RAA, has agreed to meet with the group next month.

 

OLD BUSINESS

The model jet meet that was held in Bardstown was a success.
Tom Hubbuch will be sending Gordon Carter's wife, Audrey, photos from the ceremony at Oshkosh.

NEW BUSINESS
Charlie Gokey agreed to chair the nominating committee. Jim Woodward and Dave Maultsby volunteered to assist.
Charlie Gokey reported that Rich Wells is building a Tailwind and has it on the gear.
Jim Mulloy volunteered to contact some previous members to invite them back. Tom Hubbuch will provide him a list and Lee Roberts agreed to help. They will also attempt to contact some from the national list.
Bruce Edsten requested assistance in cleaning up and moving his VariEze to the museum in Lexington. Several members volunteered to help on October 2 and 16.

Sep. 10-12: Rough River Fly-In
Sep. 17-19: Wings Weekend at Clark Co. Airport
Sep. 23: Discovery Wings will air a show on Airventure at 8:00pm
Sep. 24-26: Adam Matthews Balloon Festival at Bowman Field
Sep. 25: Fly-In at Lee Bottom Airport
Sep. 25-26: Ultralight Fly-In at Scottsburg Airport
Oct. 3: Chapter Picnic @ Willow Island Airport
Nov. 10: Chapter Pizza meeting. George Gumbert from the Lexington Air Museum will be the speaker.

 

8:15 Meeting adjourned. The program for the evening was on flying cars.
