CHAPTER 110
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
November 8, 2006

The Chapter sponsored the annual pizza dinner beginning at 6:30 PM, which was well attended. No pizza went to waste.

President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:25PM.

All officers were present.

The reading of the previous month’s minutes was dispensed with.

Treasurer Berry Bannon gave an abbreviated report. He said the Chapter received a check resulting from our sponsoring the B-17 visit of $1470.45, then added that most of it was spent on the new projector and DVD/VCR player, which cost $1222.40.

Gary extended his thanks to Alan Fox for his help in selecting and purchasing the projector. Alan gave an overview on its operation, with emphasis on proper shut down to avoid damaging the bulb.

Gary also thanked all the volunteers who helped with the B-17 visit, especially those who were there the whole time.

Greeting Chairman Don Tucker reported 24 members and 7 guests in attendance. He added that he had some 2007 EAA Calendars for sale for $8.00 ea.

Dave Maultsby reported that Aero Tec was suddenly evicted from the office in the LEA building, and now has no business operating in Louisville.

Congratulations were extended to Robert Wilmoth who passed his check ride as a PPC Sport Pilot.

Bob Allen presented Certificates of Appreciation and lapel pins to volunteers who helped the Young Eagles program as ground crew and pilots. The membership, in turn, showed Bob its appreciation for his work in leading the Young Eagles Program for the past year.

President Gary Graham called for any additional nominations for officers for 2007-2008. There were none, and a vote was taken to unanimously confirm the new officers: President- Gary Graham, Vice-president- Joy Jeffries, Secretary- Tom Hubbuch and Treasurer- Berry Bannon.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 PM.

Following the meeting Joseph Schroeder presented highlights of his flying adventures in Iceland, Israel, France and Turkey. In addition to beautiful scenery, a common theme from each of these countries was the increased amount of restrictions and cost compared to what we are accustomed to in the U.S.A.
