President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:38 PM., and indicated that the meeting agenda would be
held to a minimum to accommodate tonight’s pizza dinner and guest speaker.
Vice-president Joy Jeffries was not present, but was reportedly taking harmonica lessons, with plans to give a recital at a later Chapter
meeting.
Secretary Tom Hubbuch read the minutes from last month, which were accepted as read.
Treasurer Berry Bannon reported that the Chapter may have at least broken even on the pizza dinner due to a good turnout and some luck
in estimating the number of pizzas required. He reported income of $20, pay outs totaling $225.05 for YE fuel, Fall Picnic, roster and
newsletter, two $500 CDs, $2081.11 in savings, $445.05 in checking, and $30 in petty cash. The report was approved. Berry said he will
purchase 24 EAA calendars.
Greeting Chairman Don Tucker reported 29 members and eight guests in attendance.
Committee Reports:
Young Eagles - Gary Graham indicated that he is looking for a volunteer to replace Jim Lasch as the YE chairman. In the meantime, Jim
will continue to supply certificates to any pilots flying YE flights. Call him on his cell phone 558-7351.
Rough River – A small group of Chapter members has already met to plan for next year.
Old Business:
Leather Jacket Raffle – Gary reminded members that the winner will be drawn at the December meeting.
New Business:
None
The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 PM.
The program was a presentation by Ray Donner on ballooning, including pleasure, commercial and competition. Ray’s whole family is
involved, including his two sons who are serious competition flyers.
