CHAPTER 110
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
December 13, 2006

President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:25PM.

All officers were present.

Secretary Tom Hubbuch read the minutes from the Nov meeting which were approved.

Treasurer Berry Bannon reported spending $193.12 for Pizza at the Nov. meeting, and taking in $204.00, resulting in a profit of $10.88. The Chapter was paid $1470.45 for hosting the B-17 visit. Renting the car for the crew cost $140.00. The newly purchased video projector and VCR/DVD player cost $1222.47. The 2007 calendars cost $105.50, but this expense will be shared with the Vine Grove and Frankfort Chapters. The Chapter still has the two $500.00 CDs, savings of $2112.00, checking balance of $490.53 and $30.00 petty cash. Berry reminded the membership that 2007 Chapter Membership dues are due; the cost is $15.00 The report was accepted.

Greeting Chairman Don Tucker reported 21 members and 2 guests in attendance.

Committee Reports:

Young Eagles - No report

Rough River Fly-in - No report

Web Page & E-mail - Gary explained that he gets occasional reports of members that are unable to open some e-mails and attachments that he sends. Alan Fox explained some solutions to some of the common problems he knows of, and offered his help to members. Alan’s e-mail is: AFOX@TEAMPBP.COM, or reply back to Gary from the troublesome e-mail and he will forward to Alan. Gary and Alan want all members to be able to receive the Chapter e-mail.

Bowman Eagles - Steve Koch said the club has room for five additional members, and the Stinson is for sale.

Old Business:

Gary explained that the monthly meeting time was changed to 7:00 PM several months ago on a trial basis, with a final decision to be made in Dec. All members seemed to support the 7:00 PM meeting time, and a unanimous vote confirmed it.

Steve Koch made several Camp Quality Yearbooks available to members. Our Chapter sponsored Young Eagles Day at the Grayson Co. Airport last summer was featured in the book.

New Business:

Gary did his best to formally install the new officers. However, since the officers retain their positions from 2005/2006, and no one even changed seats, the initiation was nothing to write home about.

Gary presented certificates and lapel pins to officers and committee members for their Chapter service during 2006.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 PM.

Following the business meeting, Robert Wilmoth presented part two of a video of his travels through Alaska, including visits to several GA airports and transportation museums. It is apparent that taildraggers, many with oversized wheels, with or without colorful and striking paint schemes, are the preferred small aircraft for flying over this open, rugged land.
